Reflecting on the Past, Growing in the Present, and Moving Toward the Future: My Goals & Progress

As I continue my journey as an autism and disability advocate, inspirational speaker, and founder of Younique Abilities, each year brings new opportunities to learn, grow, and inspire. I’ve always believed in overcoming the impossible and imagining the possibilities, and 2025 has already given me many reasons to continue living by that motto.

Today, I want to share a recap of last year’s achievements, an honest look at my progress so far, and the goals I’ve set for myself as I move into a new year filled with purpose and determination.

Looking Back: Achievements From the Previous Year

Last year was a period of incredible growth both personally and professionally. Some of the highlights include:

🌟 Advocacy & Speaking

  • Continued expanding my work as an inspirational speaker, sharing my journey with Tourette syndrome and autism.

  • Made significant progress in preparing my one-hour keynote presentation, “Overcoming the Impossible, Imagining the Possibilities.”

🌟 Growing Younique Abilities

  • Strengthened the mission of Younique Abilities—highlighting individuals’ unique abilities instead of focusing on disabilities.

  • Participated in community events, markets, and awareness campaigns, spreading positivity and inclusion.

🌟 Community Impact

  • Deepened my involvement with organizations like I’m Bully Free, The HUB Houston, and Art Spark Texas.

  • Continued promoting acceptance, kindness, and mental health awareness to help build more inclusive spaces.

🌟 Personal Milestones

  • Continued long-term employment and professional stability.

  • Balanced work, advocacy, and personal growth while staying dedicated to my health and well-being.

Every achievement has helped pave the way for where I am now—strengthened, motivated, and ready for what comes next.

Where I Am Now: Progress So Far This Year

This year has already included meaningful steps forward:

  • I’ve continued refining my speech to make it even more impactful for future events.

  • My business, Younique Abilities, has expanded its handmade autism awareness merchandise and continued to attend community markets.

  • I’ve strengthened my message around positivity, disability acceptance, and understanding others’ unique abilities.

  • I’ve continued growing my website, building new connections, and sharing my story with more people who may benefit from inspiration or encouragement.

Each step is part of a larger mission: helping create a world where inclusion is not just talked about—but truly lived.

Goals for the Coming Year

I believe in setting goals that build confidence, encourage growth, and continue to push me forward. Here’s what I’m working toward in the year ahead:

🎤 1. Book More Speaking Engagements

I want to bring my story—and the hope that comes with it—to more schools, organizations, and community groups across Texas and beyond.

🤝 2. Grow Younique Abilities

My goal is to:

  • Expand our handmade product line

  • Add new autism awareness designs

  • Attend more markets and vendor events

  • Continue supporting individuals with unique abilities

🚀 3. Inspire More People Through My Online Presence

I hope to:

  • Create more blog posts

  • Share motivational content

  • Connect with others who may feel inspired by my journey

📚 4. Continue Personal & Professional Development

This includes:

  • Strengthening my public speaking skills

  • Staying involved with incredible organizations

  • Continuing to grow as an advocate and leader

🌍 5. Make a Bigger Impact in the Disability Community

My mission is to:

  • Spread the message that everyone has abilities

  • Encourage understanding and kindness

  • Support those who feel discouraged, different, or unseen

Moving Forward With Gratitude

Looking ahead, I feel grateful for the chance to continue inspiring others with my story. My journey with Tourette syndrome and autism has taught me that challenges are not roadblocks—they are stepping stones to greater things.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support me, believe in me, and stand by my vision for a more inclusive and understanding world. Together, we can keep spreading positivity, kindness, and hope.

Here’s to another year of imagination, possibilities, and growth.
